Cape Town has been on my bucket list of must visit places for quite some time. When the opportunity arose to visit, I didn't resist. With only a short time to visit, I knew I wanted to see touch taste and experience as much as I could. Just returned from our ten day trip to Cape Town, South Africa and had an amazing time! We booked Tingo Mtambalika with Santa Cruise tours as our tour guide and he was absolutely phenomenal! As there is so much to see in Cape Town and some lengthy driving at times, it's important to have someone who knows the rodes and can help curate your trip perfect for you! Tingo gave us a tour that was "beyond the tourist experience"! He was very professional, punctual and had a good rapport with every local we came in contact with which made us feel extremely comfortable and in good hands. His knowledge of history also offered the cultural perspective that made this trip that much more memorable! He is also a GREAT photographer which was an added bonus! Another bucket lister is ✅ off, Cape Town, South Africa ???????? . I struggled with writing this post because there are no words to describe Cape Town. This vacation was inspiring, empowering, and awe struck. I am thankful I saw this place with my own eyes. Although, South Africa ???????? is very beautiful and rich in history it still has the stench of apartheid. The Mother City is welcoming and I felt honored to sit at her table. I learned so much about South Africa’s history. Did you know approximately 20% of the world’s gold is mined there? In 1967, the FIRST heart transplant in the WORLD took place in Cape Town. One other fact, South Africa ????????, in size is three times the size of Texas and five times the size of Japan????. For me, South Africa’s ???????? beauty could not be captured in pictures, videos or words. The mountains sat perfectly in the background while the deep blue oceans were mesmerizing. I fell in love with its beauty and I reflected on the ancestors. I felt proud to connect with my African roots. Today, I better understand why it is so important to reacquaint with my history, culture, and family. Tingo Mtambalika with Santacruise Tours did an outstanding job with preparing daily adventures for the group.
